About Monica

A maple syrup butter tart loving Canadian residing in Hong Kong. Somehow, through a series of whims along with a tendency to just follow the yellow brick road; she ended up in Hong Kong. What was to be a two years stay has now evolved to nearly 20 eventful years. Her thoughts on Richard?

“I read somewhere that relationships formed during times of difficulty (i.e. when the world goes through a pandemic), tend to peter out when things recover. Well, things are recovering well in Hong Kong, and here we still are! Our love in the time of Covid stayed true and strong!”

About Richard

An Aussie in Hong Kong. He loves a good steak or burger, but will also happily chow down on simple egg noodles. He puts complete faith in his gadgets. He’s that trusty guy who continuously check the compass and GPS to ensure the group doesn’t get lost. His thoughts on Monica?

“Friendly and supportive whose sense of timing can be a bit off. When people are winding down, she’ll find her second wind. When it’s time to get going, she wants a nap.”
