June 25th wedding photos

We are delighted to share the below photos from our wedding photographer Jason from Collide photography. At the same time, please click HERE for the childhood video we had planned to share that evening…if we had remembered to bring the projector! If interested, click HERE for a summary video of our wedding in Hong Kong.

Thank you again for celebrating with us and making it such a special occasion!

Reflections

Everything happened in a blur of activities…There were so many faces, but at the same time, with everything moving so quickly, it was hard to process all that was happening. Thankfully, there are the wonderful photos shared by friends and we are now slowly going through them and enjoying them. Thank you!

We have been told by the photographer, make-up artist, event planner how our wedding event is somewhat unusual. We certainly did change things up as we wanted to include both eastern and western elements, and therefore had to be practical in terms of how many traditions and auspicious timings we could honour. At the end of the day, even if we broke some rules here and there; the presence of our good friends and family was what made the day special and memorable.

The Langham was beautiful; the service amazing and attentive. The floor manager (Sonny?) who told me to count 6 beats before following my Maid of Honour, the staff who kept passing me water and fixing my dress so I was at my best…we were so fortunate to have met Giselle who put everything together and chased us for the music and the videos.

To Joe, my Maid of Honour; Pak Kin, my Aisle Partner; Billy, the Best Man; and the all whole Supporting Cast…Richard and I thank you all for helping us put together such a wonderful wedding in the a short two months.

The Langham

Happy and delighted that our good friends could help us with our Chinese hair combing ritual. Our Auspicious Lady, Jules; Blessed Man, Dave; Selen, Maid of Honour, Joe; and Aisle Partner, Pak Kin; helped decorate and prepare materials for the occasion. Thank you for being a good sport and reciting the blessings in Putonghua! It was great fun for us all!

Beautiful Langham…we walked into a beautiful suite complete with a surprise treat! Thank you!
